Xiaomi 12 has a general score of 78.8, which is a little bit better than the Huawei P20 Lite (2019)'s 76.5 global score. The Xiaomi 12 design is newer and just a little thinner than Huawei P20 Lite (2019)'s, but it is also a bit heavier. Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi 12 has the older 12 version while Huawei P20 Lite (2019) has Android 9.0 Pie.
Huawei P20 Lite (2019) counts with a much powerful processor than Xiaomi 12, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Xiaomi 12 features a better screen than Huawei P20 Lite (2019), because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a bit more pixels per display inch and a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400.
Huawei P20 Lite (2019) features a much greater memory capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi 12, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory, the Huawei P20 Lite (2019) also has a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB. Xiaomi 12 captures way better photographs and videos than Huawei P20 Lite (2019), because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for shooting images and/or video in poorly lited situations, it also counts with a camera in the back with a way better resolution and a way better video definition.
The Xiaomi 12 has just a little better battery life than Huawei P20 Lite (2019), because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.
