Google Pixel 4a 5G is much better than Huawei P20 Lite, getting a global score of 87.5 against 75.4. Although Google Pixel 4a 5G is incredibly newer than the Huawei P20 Lite, it's a little bit thicker and heavier. Both of these phones have Android OS, but the Google Pixel 4a 5G has 11 version and Huawei P20 Lite has Android 8.0 Oreo.
Google Pixel 4a 5G has just a bit better hardware performance than Huawei P20 Lite, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Google Pixel 4a 5G also has a greater amount of RAM. Huawei P20 Lite and Google Pixel 4a 5G both count with extremely similar displays, because although the Google Pixel 4a 5G has a just a bit lower display density, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a quite larger display.
Google Pixel 4a 5G has a better camera than Huawei P20 Lite, because although it has a back facing camera with a way lower resolution, it also counts with a way higher (4K) video resolution and a way bigger aperture for better images and videos in low-light environments. The Huawei P20 Lite counts with a bit more storage for games and applications than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 256 GB.
The Google Pixel 4a 5G counts with greater battery life than Huawei P20 Lite, because it has 3885mAh of battery capacity.
Although Google Pixel 4a 5G is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Huawei P20 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei P20 Lite. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Google Pixel 4a 5G, else you can save some dollars and get the Huawei P20 Lite, giving up a couple specifications.
