Comparison review
Huawei P40 Lite has an overall score of 79.5, which is a little bit better than the Huawei P20 Lite's 75.4 general score. Although the Huawei P40 Lite is newer than the Huawei P20 Lite, it's much heavier and thicker. Both phones we compare here include Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei P40 Lite has an older 10 version and Huawei P20 Lite has Android 8.0 Oreo.
The Huawei P40 Lite's processing unit is very similar to the Huawei P20 Lite one, and although the Huawei P40 Lite has a larger amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor. Huawei P20 Lite has a little bit better looking screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a little bit smaller display and a little lower 1080 x 2280px resolution, it also counts with a bit more pixels per display inch.
Huawei P20 Lite features just a bit more storage to install applications and games than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 256 GB. The Huawei P40 Lite captures better photographs and videos than Huawei P20 Lite, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low light captures and videos and a back-facing camera with way more mega pixels.
Huawei P40 Lite features a much better battery performance than Huawei P20 Lite, because it has a 40% larger battery capacity.
The Huawei P40 Lite is more expensive than Huawei P20 Lite, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
