Comparison review
Galaxy A42 is much better than the Huawei P20 Lite, getting a score of 87 against 75.4. The Galaxy A42 body is much newer than the Huawei P20 Lite's, but it's somewhat thicker and way heavier. Both devices in this review come with Android OS, but Galaxy A42 has the older 11 version and Huawei P20 Lite has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
Huawei P20 Lite features a more vivid screen than Galaxy A42, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better 1080 x 2280px resolution and a way higher pixel density. Samsung Galaxy A42 has a much greater memory to install applications and games than Huawei P20 Lite, because it has 64 GB more internal storage and a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.
The Huawei P20 Lite counts with a bit faster CPU than Galaxy A42. Both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and 8 cores. Samsung Galaxy A42 takes much clearer pictures and videos than Huawei P20 Lite, because it has a camera in the back with a lot higher resolution, a much better 3840x2160 video definition and a larger aperture to capture better captures in low light situations.
Galaxy A42 has a much better battery performance than Huawei P20 Lite, because it has a 67 percent larger battery size.
