Although it's the best in this review, the Galaxy A5 (2017) is an older, a little heavier and just a little bit thicker phone than Huawei P20 Lite. Huawei P20 Lite has a bit superior CPU than Galaxy A5 (2017), and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei P20 Lite also has 1 GB more RAM memory.
Huawei P20 Lite has a little more vivid screen than Galaxy A5 (2017), because it has a quite larger display, a just a little higher display pixels density and a slightly higher 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution. The Huawei P20 Lite counts with a much bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 256 GB, the Huawei P20 Lite also has 64 GB internal memory.
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) has a battery life that's just as good as the battery performance in Huawei P20 Lite. Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) counts with a bit better camera than Huawei P20 Lite, and although they both have a back camera with a 16 mega-pixels, the same video frame rate and the same video quality, the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) also has a larger camera aperture for better photos and video in low-light situations.
