Comparison review

Galaxy Note8 has a global score of 83, which is much better than Huawei P20 Lite's score of 75.4. Both devices in this review use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Note8 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Huawei P20 Lite has Android 8.0 Oreo version, providing you a couple nice extra features and a performance increase. The Galaxy Note8 design is somewhat thicker and much heavier than Huawei P20 Lite.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 features a bit better looking display than Huawei P20 Lite, because it has a bit bigger screen, a just a little better pixels density and a better resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with as much storage for apps and games as the Huawei P20 Lite one, they have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 256 GB.

Galaxy Note8 has a bit faster CPU than Huawei P20 Lite, and although they both have 8 cores, the Galaxy Note8 also has a higher amount of RAM memory. Galaxy Note8 has just a bit better camera than Huawei P20 Lite, because although it has a much lower resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a lot bigger diafragm aperture to take better low-light photos and videos.

The Galaxy Note8 has a bit superior battery performance than Huawei P20 Lite, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.

Although Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Huawei P20 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P20 Lite. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Note8, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Huawei P20 Lite, resigning some features and specs.
