Comparison review
The Huawei P20 Pro is just a bit better than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, getting an 81.4 score against 78.7. Both phones we are comparing use Android OS, but Huawei P20 Pro has 10 version and Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo. The Huawei P20 Pro construction is newer, but just a bit thicker and a little bit heavier than Huawei Mate 9 Pro.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a slightly better screen than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution and a greater pixel density. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Huawei P20 Pro feature really similar CPUs, both have 6 GB of RAM and 8 cpu cores.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has as much memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos as the Huawei P20 Pro, both of them have the same 128 GB internal memory. The Huawei P20 Pro features a lot better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same (4K) video definition, the Huawei P20 Pro also has a bigger diafragm aperture to take better images and video in low light environments, a lot better 40 mega-pixels resolution camera and a much larger sensor providing a lot better image quality.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a battery duration that's very similar to the Huawei P20 Pro one.
Despite of being the best phone of the ones we compare here, Huawei P20 Pro is also a bargain compared to others.
