Comparison review
The Huawei P20 Pro is slightly better than the Motorola Moto G8 Plus, having an 81.4 score against 77.6. The Huawei P20 Pro is an older cellphone than the Motorola Moto G8 Plus, but Huawei managed to build it thinner and a little lighter anyway. Huawei P20 Pro features a little sharper display than Moto G8 Plus, because although it has a bit smaller screen and a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2240px, it also counts with a little better pixel quantity in each screen inch.
The Huawei P20 Pro features a bit more powerful processing unit than Moto G8 Plus, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Huawei P20 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM. The Motorola Moto G8 Plus's camera is just as good as Huawei P20 Pro's camera, because although the Motorola Moto G8 Plus has a smaller camera sensor capturing less light and duller colors, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same video frame rates, it also counts with a back facing camera with a higher resolution and a larger diafragm aperture to take better photography and video in low light situations.
The Motorola Moto G8 Plus has a bigger storage for games and applications than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 512 GB. Moto G8 Plus counts with a battery performance that's just as good as the battery performance in Huawei P20 Pro.
