Comparison review
The Huawei P20 Pro is slightly better than the Galaxy A8 (2018), with an 81.4 score against 79.2. The Huawei P20 Pro construction is a little heavier but just a bit thinner than Galaxy A8 (2018), and both of them were released only a couple of months apart. The Galaxy A8 (2018) counts with a little bit better looking display than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has a little smaller display and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2220, it also counts with a just a little better display density.
The Huawei P20 Pro features just a bit better performance than Galaxy A8 (2018), and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei P20 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM memory. Huawei P20 Pro shoots much better photographs and videos than Galaxy A8 (2018), because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for shooting photos in low light environments, it also counts with a lot better (4K) video definition and a lot better resolution back camera.
Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) has slightly more storage for games and applications than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 256 GB. The Huawei P20 Pro features greater battery lifetime than Galaxy A8 (2018), because it has a 4000mAh battery size.
