Comparison review
Galaxy A9 (2018) is a little bit better than Huawei P20 Pro, getting an 85.2 score against 81.4. Galaxy A9 (2018)'s design has the same thickness than the Huawei P20 Pro, but it is just a little bit heavier. Huawei P20 Pro features a little sharper display than Galaxy A9 (2018), because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a quite better 1080 x 2240 resolution and a just a bit higher screen pixels density.
Huawei P20 Pro has a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018). They have a Octa-Core CPU and the same RAM memory amount. The Huawei P20 Pro features a better camera than Galaxy A9 (2018), because although it has a smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Huawei P20 Pro also counts with a way larger back-facing camera sensor shooting much higher quality photos and a much more megapixels back facing camera.
The Galaxy A9 (2018) features a much bigger storage for apps and games than Huawei P20 Pro, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Galaxy A9 (2018) also has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 512 GB. The Huawei P20 Pro has just a bit better battery performance than Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3800mAh.
