Comparison review

Galaxy Note8 has a score of 83, which is a bit better than Huawei P20 Pro's global score of 81.4. These phones include Android OS, but the Galaxy Note8 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Huawei P20 Pro has Android 10, counting with a couple nice extra features and enhanced performance. Galaxy Note8 is a just a little thicker and a bit heavier phone than the Huawei P20 Pro.

Galaxy Note8 features a bit more vivid screen than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has a bit larger screen, more pixels per inch of display and a better resolution of 1440 x 2960. Galaxy Note8 has slightly more memory capacity for apps and games than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 256 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a processing unit that's just as good as Huawei P20 Pro's CPU, both have a 6 GB RAM and 8 cpu cores. The Huawei P20 Pro counts with greater battery performance than Galaxy Note8, because it has a 21 percent larger battery capacity. Huawei P20 Pro features a better camera than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for low-light images, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Huawei P20 Pro also counts with a way larger sensor and a way better 40 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera.

Although Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs more money than Huawei P20 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P20 Pro. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Huawei P20 Pro, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
