Huawei P20 Pro has a general score of 81.4, which is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus's global score of 78.1. The Huawei P20 Pro is a newer and just a little thinner device than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, although it is also heavier. Both of these phones come with Android OS, but Huawei P20 Pro has the previous 10 version and Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2 version.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus features a much better looking screen than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has a little worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per display inch. Huawei P20 Pro features much more memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 112 GB more internal memory.
Galaxy S5 Plus and Huawei P20 Pro both feature really similar processors, because although the Galaxy S5 Plus has 4 lesser processing cores and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics processor. The Huawei P20 Pro has a way better battery lifetime than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity instead of 2800mAh.
The Huawei P20 Pro features a better camera than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video quality, the Huawei P20 Pro also has a back camera with a lot better 40 mega pixels resolution, a bigger aperture for better images in low-light situations and a much bigger camera sensor shooting much higher quality photos and videos.
Although Huawei P20 Pro is a better device, it costs more than Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S5 Plus. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Huawei P20 Pro, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy S5 Plus, giving up a couple features and specs.
