Huawei P20 Pro has a global score of 81.4, which is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5's 78.1 score. Although Huawei P20 Pro is way older and a little bit heavier than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, it's construction is still thinner. Both phones in this review use Android operating system, but the Huawei P20 Pro has the previous 10 version while Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has Android 11 version.
Huawei P20 Pro has a bit better display than Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a larger screen, a greater display pixels density and a much better resolution of 1080 x 2240px. Huawei P20 Pro counts with a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy XCover 5, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Huawei P20 Pro also has more RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has a much better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that supports up to 1 TB. Huawei P20 Pro shoots much better photos and videos than Galaxy XCover 5, and although they both have the same aperture, the Huawei P20 Pro also has a way higher 40 megapixels resolution back-facing camera and a way better (4K) video quality.
The Huawei P20 Pro features better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a 33 percent larger battery capacity.
