Comparison review
The Huawei P20 Pro is a little bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, getting a global score of 81.4 against 81.1. These phones use the same Android 10 OS (operating system). Huawei P20 Pro's design is lighter and somewhat thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, despite of the fact that it was released 2 years before.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro and Huawei P20 Pro both feature really similar processing units, both have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processing unit. The Huawei P20 Pro has a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a little worse 1080 x 2240px resolution, it also counts with a bit better count of pixels in each inch of screen.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a bigger memory for apps and games than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro counts with superior battery life than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has a 5020mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro shoots slightly better pictures and videos than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not nice for capturing photos and/or video in low-light environments, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same (4K) video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also counts with a lot better 64 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back and a larger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Although Huawei P20 Pro is a better device, it costs more money than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Huawei P20 Pro, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, resigning some features and specifications.
