The Huawei P20 Pro is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, having a score of 81.4 against 79. Even though the Huawei P20 Pro is incredibly older than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, it's construction is thinner and somewhat lighter. These phones work with Android operating system, but Huawei P20 Pro has the previous 10 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has Android 11.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with more memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Huawei P20 Pro and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S count with incredibly similar cameras, because although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a smaller sensor shooting worse quality videos and photos, and they both have a F1.8 diafragm aperture, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same (4K) video definition, it also counts with a back facing camera with a higher 48 MP resolution.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features improved battery duration than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has a 5020mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.
Although Huawei P20 Pro is a better device, it is more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei P20 Pro, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, giving up a couple features and specs.
