Comparison review
The Galaxy A40 has a global score of 79.6, which is slightly better than the Huawei P30 Lite's general score of 77. Both phones in our current comparison come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy A40 has older 11 version while Huawei P30 Lite has Android 9.0 Pie version. Galaxy A40's construction is just a little bit thicker but lighter than the Huawei P30 Lite, and both were released only a couple of months apart.
Galaxy A40 features a slightly better display than Huawei P30 Lite, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2340px and a just a little better pixels number per inch in the display. Huawei P30 Lite counts with a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy A40. Both have 4 GB of RAM memory and 8 cores.
The Galaxy A40 takes slightly better pictures and videos than Huawei P30 Lite, because although it has a lower (Full HD) video resolution, a lot tinier sensor which provides a way lower photo and video quality and a way lower 16 megapixels resolution camera, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light captures.
Huawei P30 Lite counts with a much greater memory for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy A40, and although they both have a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB, the Huawei P30 Lite also has 128 GB internal storage. Huawei P30 Lite features a little longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has 3340mAh of battery capacity against 3100mAh.
