Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has a global score of 77.7, which is just a bit better than the Huawei P30 Lite's 77 score. Even being the best in this review, Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's design is a little bit heavier and a bit thicker than Huawei P30 Lite. These devices come with Android operating system, but the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has 8.1 Oreo version while Huawei P30 Lite has Android 9.0 Pie.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a bit better performance than Huawei P30 Lite, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite also has a higher amount of RAM memory. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite counts with a screen that is very similar to Huawei P30 Lite's screen, because although the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has a bit lower 1080 x 2280 resolution and a little less pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a bit bigger screen.
The Huawei P30 Lite counts with a way bigger memory for apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Huawei P30 Lite also has an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a little better battery duration than Huawei P30 Lite, because it has 3350mAh of battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a little bit better camera than Huawei P30 Lite, because although it has a way smaller back-facing camera sensor capturing less light and washed colors, a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for capturing pictures and video in low-light environments and a back camera with much less megapixels resolution, it also counts with a way better 3840x2160 video quality.
