The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has an overall score of 90.9, which is a little bit better than Huawei P30 Pro New Edition's 85.9 general score. Huawei Mate 40 Pro's body is a bit thicker and a bit heavier than Huawei P30 Pro New Edition. Both devices in this review include the same Android 10 operating system.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a bit better processing unit than Huawei P30 Pro New Edition. They have the same RAM amount and the same number of cores. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a bit more vivid screen than Huawei P30 Pro New Edition, because it has a better resolution of 1334 x 2772px, a little bit bigger screen and a just a little higher screen density.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro captures slightly better photographs and videos than Huawei P30 Pro New Edition, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for low-light photography, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also counts with better 60 fps video frame rate, a back camera with a better 50 MP resolution and a lot bigger sensor which provides a much better photo and video quality.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro features as much memory for games and applications as Huawei P30 Pro New Edition, they have the same 256 GB internal memory. Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a little better battery duration than Huawei P30 Pro New Edition, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity.
