Huawei P30 Pro New Edition is just a bit better than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, getting an 85.9 score against 78.7. The Huawei P30 Pro New Edition is a much newer phone than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, although it is just a little bit thicker and heavier. Both devices in our current comparison use Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition has an older 10 version and Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
Huawei P30 Pro New Edition features a little better performance than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition also has more RAM memory. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with just a bit better looking screen than Huawei P30 Pro New Edition, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a greater amount of pixels per inch in the display.
Huawei P30 Pro New Edition counts with a lot bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has 256 GB internal storage capacity. Huawei P30 Pro New Edition has a bit superior battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a 5 percent larger battery capacity.
The Huawei P30 Pro New Edition features a way better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same video quality, the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition also has a back camera with a way better 40 mega pixels resolution, a way bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing much higher quality photos and a much bigger camera aperture.
