Comparison review
The Galaxy Note8 is a bit better than Huawei P30 Pro, having an 83 score against 82.1. Galaxy Note8 is an older, a bit heavier and a little bit thicker device than Huawei P30 Pro. The Huawei P30 Pro has a bit better CPU than Galaxy Note8. Both have a 6 GB RAM and the same number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Huawei P30 Pro, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better pixels density and a better 1440 x 2960 resolution.
The Galaxy Note8 features a little bit better memory capacity for applications and games than Huawei P30 Pro, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 256 GB. Huawei P30 Pro counts with better battery life than Galaxy Note8, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity against 3300mAh.
The Huawei P30 Pro captures much better videos and photos than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Huawei P30 Pro also has a bigger diafragm aperture for better captures and videos in poorly lited situations, a much bigger back camera sensor providing a lot better image quality and a lot more mega-pixels back facing camera.
