Comparison review
Huawei P30 has a general score of 81.7, which is a bit better than the Galaxy S5's 80.8 global score. Both phones in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei P30 has the previous 10 version and Galaxy S5 has Android 4.4.2. Huawei P30's design is notably newer and just a bit thinner than the Galaxy S5's, although it's also somewhat heavier.
Galaxy S5 and Huawei P30 both feature quite similar CPUs, because although the Galaxy S5 has a lower number of cores and less RAM, it also counts with a graphics processing unit. Galaxy S5 counts with a sharper display than Huawei P30, because although it has a bit smaller screen and a little bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1080px, it also counts with a higher pixels quantity in each screen inch.
Huawei P30 features a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Huawei P30 also has a much better resolution back facing camera, a larger aperture to take better captures and videos in poorly lited situations and a lot larger camera sensor taking way better quality photos and videos.
Huawei P30 counts with a much greater storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy S5, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory capacity. The Huawei P30 features longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has a 30% more battery capacity.
Although Huawei P30 is a better device, it costs more money than the Galaxy S5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S5. If you prefer to save some money, you can get the Galaxy S5, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
