Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 III has an overall score of 93.3, which is much better than the Huawei P30's 81.7 overall score. The Sony Xperia 1 III design is newer than Huawei P30's, although it's a bit thicker and heavier. Both of these phones work with Android OS, but the Sony Xperia 1 III has newer 11 version while Huawei P30 has Android 10 version, so it provides a lot of extra features and some performance improvements.
Sony Xperia 1 III has a brighter screen than Huawei P30, because it has a lot higher 1644 x 3840 resolution, a little larger screen and a lot greater pixels amount per inch of screen. The Sony Xperia 1 III has a bit more powerful processor than Huawei P30, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has more RAM.
The Xperia 1 III has a lot bigger storage to store more apps and games than Huawei P30, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 1 TB and 256 GB internal storage capacity. Huawei P30 takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Xperia 1 III, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture and worse video frame rate, and they both have a same size camera sensor and the same (4K) video resolution, the Huawei P30 also counts with a way better 40 mega pixels resolution back camera.
Sony Xperia 1 III features improved battery lifetime than Huawei P30, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Huawei P30, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P30. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Huawei P30, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
