Huawei P40 lite 5G is just a bit better than the Motorola Edge 40, getting an 83.4 score against 77.2. Huawei P40 lite 5G's body is noticeably older, somewhat thicker and somewhat heavier than the Motorola Edge 40. Both of these phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei P40 lite 5G has an older 10 version while Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13 version.
Motorola Edge 40 features a bit sharper screen than Huawei P40 lite 5G. Both of them have the same number of pixels per inch of screen, the same 1080 x 2400 resolution and a display of the same size.
