Comparison review
Galaxy M40 is a little bit better than the Huawei P40 lite 5G, getting a score of 85 against 83.4. Both of these devices have the same Android 10 OS (operating system), so they should offer all the same OS features. The Galaxy M40 is an older device than the Huawei P40 lite 5G, but Samsung managed to build it just a little bit thinner and lighter anyway.
Huawei P40 lite 5G and Samsung Galaxy M40 both have quite similar displays, because although the Samsung Galaxy M40 has a bit lower 1080 x 2340 resolution and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit greater display pixels density. Samsung Galaxy M40 has a much greater memory to install applications and games than Huawei P40 lite 5G, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
The Huawei P40 lite 5G counts with a bit faster CPU than Galaxy M40. Both of them have a 6 GB RAM memory and 8 cores. Huawei P40 lite 5G takes slightly better pictures and videos than Galaxy M40, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Huawei P40 lite 5G also counts with a camera in the back with a lot higher resolution.
Huawei P40 lite 5G has a bit better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy M40, because it has a 14 percent larger battery size.
