Apple iPhone 8 Plus is just a bit better than the Huawei P40 Lite, with an 87.1 score against 79.5. Although the Apple iPhone 8 Plus is notably older and a bit heavier than Huawei P40 Lite, it's design is still thinner. The Apple iPhone 8 Plus has a little faster processing unit than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has an inferior number of cores and 3 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with a 64-bits processing unit.
Apple iPhone 8 Plus counts with a bit better looking screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 1920, it also counts with a bit better display density. The iPhone 8 Plus has a very superior memory to store more games and applications than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has more internal storage capacity.
