Comparison review
Huawei P40 Lite is just a bit better than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), getting a general score of 79.5 against 77.4. Huawei P40 Lite is a newer cellphone than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), but it is a little bit thicker and a little heavier. These phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei P40 Lite has the previous 10 version while Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has Android 9.0 Pie.
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) counts with a processing unit that's just as good as the CPU in Huawei P40 Lite, both of them have 8 cpu cores and a 6 GB RAM memory. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has a little bit better looking screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a little lower 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a little bit better screen density.
The Huawei P40 Lite shoots much better photographs and videos than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, a same size aperture and the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a way more mega-pixels back-facing camera and a much bigger back camera sensor which provides a way better image and video quality.

The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) features improved battery duration than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has a 19 percent larger battery size.
