Comparison review
Google Pixel 4a is a little bit better than the Huawei P40 Lite, getting an 82.9 score against 79.5. Although Google Pixel 4a and Huawei P40 Lite were released with only 6 months difference, Google Pixel 4a is much lighter and just a bit thinner. Both of these phones work with Android OS (operating system), but Google Pixel 4a has newer 11 version while Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10 version, providing some additional features and optimized performance.
Google Pixel 4a features a little bit better looking screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit greater number of pixels in each inch of display and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2340px. The Google Pixel 4a's CPU is very similar to Huawei P40 Lite's processor, both of them have the same number of cores and the same RAM amount.
Huawei P40 Lite features a better camera than Google Pixel 4a, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for taking photographs or videos in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a way larger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a much more megapixels back-facing camera.
Google Pixel 4a's storage to store more apps and games is very similar to the Huawei P40 Lite one, both have equal 128 GB internal memory. Huawei P40 Lite counts with superior battery performance than Google Pixel 4a, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity.
Although Google Pixel 4a is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Huawei P40 Lite. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Huawei P40 Lite, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most with your money.
