Comparison review
The Google Pixel 5 is much better than the Huawei P40 Lite, getting an 89 score against 79.5. Even though the Google Pixel 5 and Huawei P40 Lite were only released 8 months apart, the Google Pixel 5 is just a little thinner and somewhat lighter. The Google Pixel 5 has a slightly better looking screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a little higher 1080 x 2340 resolution and a just a little greater display pixels density.
Google Pixel 5 counts with a little faster processing unit than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Google Pixel 5 also has 2 GB more RAM. Google Pixel 5 has as much storage capacity for games and applications as the Huawei P40 Lite one, they have exactly the same internal storage.
Huawei P40 Lite shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 5, because although it has lower video frame rates and a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a back camera with lot more megapixels and a lot bigger camera sensor which provides a way higher image and video quality.
The Huawei P40 Lite has a bit superior battery life than Google Pixel 5, because it has a 3% more battery capacity.
Although Google Pixel 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P40 Lite. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Huawei P40 Lite, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
