Comparison review
The Huawei P40 Lite has a general score of 79.5, which is slightly better than the HTC One M9's score of 77.7. Both of these devices include Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei P40 Lite has the newer 10 version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0 version, providing you some additional features. Huawei P40 Lite is a much newer and somewhat thinner phone than HTC One M9, but it is heavier.
HTC One M9 has a bit better performance than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has less RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with a 64 bits CPU and a graphics co-processor. The HTC One M9 features a sharper screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a bit lower 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a way smaller display, it also counts with a little bit better display density.
The Huawei P40 Lite has a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than HTC One M9, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory capacity. Huawei P40 Lite has a really longer battery lifetime than HTC One M9, because it has a 48% larger battery capacity.
Huawei P40 Lite captures clearer videos and photos than HTC One M9, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same video definition, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a camera in the back with lot more MP, a larger diafragm aperture to capture better captures in low light situations and a larger back camera sensor providing a better image quality.
Although Huawei P40 Lite is a better device, it is more expensive than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the HTC One M9. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Huawei P40 Lite, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the HTC One M9, giving up some specs and features.
