The Huawei Mate X is better than the Huawei P40 Lite, getting an 89.4 score against 79.5. These phones have Android OS, but the Huawei Mate X has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10. Despite being the best cellphone we compare here, the Huawei Mate X construction is much thicker and much heavier than the Huawei P40 Lite.

Huawei Mate X features a much greater memory capacity for applications and games than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has more internal memory capacity.
Huawei Mate X features a bit better processing power than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate X also has more RAM memory. The Huawei P40 Lite takes much better videos and photos than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a tinier sensor capturing less light and dull colors, and they both have a F1.8 camera aperture, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a higher 48 megapixels resolution back-facing camera.
The Huawei Mate X features just a little better battery life than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 4200mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more than Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P40 Lite. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Huawei Mate X, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Huawei P40 Lite, resigning a couple features and specifications.
