Comparison review
The Huawei P40 Lite is a little bit better than the Huawei P Smart (2021), with a general score of 79.5 against 79.2. Huawei P40 Lite's construction is somewhat lighter and just a bit thinner than the Huawei P Smart (2021), although both of them were only released with a couple months difference. Both of these phones have the same Android 10 operating system, so you shouldn't perceive any differences regarding that.
The Huawei P40 Lite features a little faster processing unit than Huawei P Smart (2021), and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei P40 Lite also has more RAM memory. The Huawei P40 Lite has a bit better looking display than Huawei P Smart (2021), because although it has a little lower 1080 x 2310 resolution and a little smaller display, it also counts with a little bit higher count of pixels in each inch in the screen.
The Huawei P Smart (2021) captures just a bit better photos and videos than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have a 48 MP resolution camera in the back, a 0.5 inches back camera sensor and the same aperture, the Huawei P Smart (2021) also has a much higher 3840x2160 video resolution. Huawei P Smart (2021) has a much better storage capacity for apps and games than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Huawei P Smart (2021) also has a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 512 GB.
