Comparison review
The Huawei P20 Pro is a little bit better than Huawei P40 Lite, getting a overall score of 81.4 against 79.5. The Huawei P20 Pro is an older cellphone than Huawei P40 Lite, but Huawei managed to make it just a little lighter and a little bit thinner. Both of these phones include the same Android 10 operating system, so you shouldn't see any difference regarding operating system features.
Huawei P20 Pro has a display that is very similar to the display in Huawei P40 Lite, because although the Huawei P20 Pro has a quite smaller screen and a little lower resolution of 1080 x 2240px, it also counts with a just a little higher screen pixels density. Huawei P20 Pro counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Huawei P40 Lite. Both of them have a 6 GB RAM and a Octa-Core CPU.
The Huawei P40 Lite and the Huawei P20 Pro have similar memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos, they have exactly the same internal storage capacity. The Huawei P20 Pro counts with a slightly better camera than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a less mega pixels camera, and they both have a F1.8 aperture, the Huawei P20 Pro also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a higher image quality and a way higher (4K) video definition.
Huawei P40 Lite counts with a little longer battery lifetime than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has a 5 percent bigger battery size.
Although Huawei P20 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P40 Lite. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Huawei P40 Lite, letting go a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
