Both phones in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra has newer 14 version and Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10 version, so it provides some extra features. The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra body has the same thickness than the Huawei P40 Lite, but it is a little heavier.
The Huawei P40 Lite features a much better performing CPU than Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, although it has 6 GB lesser RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra has a much better looking screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a bit less pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with a little bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a little larger display.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra shoots better photographs and videos than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has a bigger camera aperture for better photography in low light situations, a way larger back-facing camera sensor which provides a lot better photo and video quality, a higher resolution back facing camera and a way higher 3840x2160 video definition.
Motorola Edge 50 Ultra counts with a very superior memory to store more games and applications than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has 384 GB more internal storage capacity. Motorola Edge 50 Ultra features a bit longer battery lifetime than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
