Comparison review
The Huawei P40 Lite has a general score of 79.5, which is a little bit better than the Moto G8 Power's global score of 76. Even though the Huawei P40 Lite and the Moto G8 Power were only released with a couple of months difference, the Huawei P40 Lite is somewhat thinner and just a bit lighter. Both of these devices have the same Android 10 OS.
Huawei P40 Lite counts with a bit better performance than Motorola Moto G8 Power, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Huawei P40 Lite also has 2 GB more RAM memory. The Huawei P40 Lite features a little sharper display than Motorola Moto G8 Power, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2310 pixels and a bit better pixels density.
Motorola Moto G8 Power has more storage to install applications and games than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Huawei P40 Lite counts with just a bit better camera than Motorola Moto G8 Power, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a much higher 48 mega-pixels resolution back camera and a lot larger camera sensor providing a much better image quality.
The Moto G8 Power features improved battery performance than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4200mAh.
Huawei P40 Lite costs a bit more than the Motorola Moto G8 Power, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
