The Motorola razr (2020) has an overall score of 87, which is a bit better than the Huawei P40 Lite's general score of 79.5. Although the Motorola razr (2020) and the Huawei P40 Lite were released with only 7 months difference, the Motorola razr (2020) design is just a little bit thinner but just a little bit heavier. These devices include Android OS (Operating System), but Motorola razr (2020) has newer 11 version and Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10, so it counts with lots of additional features.
Motorola razr (2020) has a little bit better hardware performance than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Motorola razr (2020) also has 2 GB more RAM. Huawei P40 Lite counts with a bit better looking screen than Motorola razr (2020), because it has a little bit larger display, a quite better pixel density and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2310 pixels.
The Motorola razr (2020) captures just a bit better photographs and videos than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have a 0.5 inches sensor and the same resolution back facing camera, the Motorola razr (2020) also has a bigger diafragm aperture to take better low-light photos and video and a lot better (4K) video quality.

If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Huawei P40 Lite, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
