Comparison review
Galaxy A40 is just a bit better than the Huawei P40 Lite, having a general score of 79.6 against 79.5. Both phones in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy A40 has a more recent 11 version and Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10 version, so it gives a lot of extra features. Despite of the fact that the Galaxy A40 is older than Huawei P40 Lite, it's body is a little bit thinner and notably lighter.
The Samsung Galaxy A40 has a bit sharper screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a quite better 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and a little bit higher number of pixels per inch in the screen. The Huawei P40 Lite has a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy A40, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei P40 Lite also has more RAM memory.
The Galaxy A40 counts with a bigger memory for apps and games than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 512 GB. Huawei P40 Lite features a much better camera than Galaxy A40, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for capturing images and/or video in low-light environments, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a much more megapixels back camera and a way larger sensor providing a lot higher image quality.
The Huawei P40 Lite counts with superior battery duration than Galaxy A40, because it has a 4200mAh battery size.
