Comparison review

The Galaxy Note8 is slightly better than Huawei P40 Lite, getting an 83 score against 79.5. Galaxy Note8 is a a little heavier phone than Huawei P40 Lite, but both are 0.34inches thick. Both phones in our current comparison use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Note8 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a little sharper display than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution and a greater display pixel density. The Galaxy Note8 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Huawei P40 Lite. Both of them have 8 cpu cores and the same RAM memory amount.

Huawei P40 Lite shoots much clearer photos and videos than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for taking photographs or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a much larger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a back facing camera with a way better 48 megapixels resolution.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a little bit better memory for apps and games than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that allows up to 256 GB. Huawei P40 Lite features superior battery performance than Galaxy Note8, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity.

Although Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P40 Lite. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the Huawei P40 Lite, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
