Comparison review
The Galaxy S5 is slightly better than Huawei P40 Lite, having a overall score of 80.8 against 79.5. The Galaxy S5 body is a little thinner and notably lighter than Huawei P40 Lite, even though it was released many years before. These devices work with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S5 has newer 4.4.2 version while Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10.
The Galaxy S5 features a bit better hardware performance than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has 3 GB less RAM and an inferior number of cores , it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a much better display than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a bit worse 1920 x 1080 resolution and a really smaller display, it also counts with a greater count of pixels per inch of screen.
The Huawei P40 Lite captures slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a larger diafragm aperture to take better photos and video in poorly lited situations, a way larger back-facing camera sensor capturing lot higher quality pictures and videos and a back camera with a lot higher resolution.
The Huawei P40 Lite has a lot bigger memory to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S5, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage. Huawei P40 Lite has a much better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has a 4200mAh battery size.
Although Galaxy S5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Huawei P40 Lite. If you want to save some money, you can get Huawei P40 Lite, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your savings.
