Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is just a bit better than Huawei P40 Lite, with a general score of 85.7 against 79.5. Both of these phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has the previous 5.0 version and Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is an noticeably older cellphone than the Huawei P40 Lite, but Samsung managed to make it a lot lighter and somewhat thinner anyway.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has just a bit better processing power than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with a GPU and a 64 bits processing unit. Galaxy S6 Edge has a much sharper screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a better pixel number per inch of display and a better 2560 x 1440 resolution.
The Huawei P40 Lite counts with a very superior camera than Galaxy S6 Edge, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a bigger camera aperture for better captures in low light situations, a back camera with way more mega-pixels and a much larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
Huawei P40 Lite and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge have quite similar memory to install applications and games, both have equal internal storage capacity. The Huawei P40 Lite features a really longer battery duration than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 62 percent larger battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Huawei P40 Lite. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Huawei P40 Lite, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
