The Huawei P40 Lite has a general score of 79.5, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy S7 edge's 78.1 general score. Both phones we are comparing here come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei P40 Lite has older 10 version and Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Although the Huawei P40 Lite is extremely newer than the Galaxy S7 edge, it's heavier and thicker.
Huawei P40 Lite features a little better performance than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 4 more cores and 2 GB more RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has a bit sharper display than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher pixel quantity per display inch and a better 1440 x 2560px resolution.
