Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 III is much better than the Huawei P40 Lite, with a overall score of 93.3 against 79.5. Both phones we are comparing here come with Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia 1 III has 11 version and Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10, so it provides some extra features and performance enhancements. Sony Xperia 1 III's body is newer and just a bit thinner, but also just a little bit heavier than the Huawei P40 Lite.
Sony Xperia 1 III has a bit more powerful processing unit than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a greater amount of RAM. Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a more vivid screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has much more pixels per inch in the display, a little bit larger display and a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840.
Xperia 1 III's camera is just as good as the Huawei P40 Lite one, because although the Xperia 1 III has a back camera with lot less megapixels, it also counts with a way better video resolution, a bigger back camera sensor providing a higher image quality and a bigger aperture. The Sony Xperia 1 III features a much bigger storage for games and applications than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has 256 GB internal memory capacity and a SD memory slot that admits up to 1 TB.
The Sony Xperia 1 III features just a bit longer battery duration than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Huawei P40 Lite. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Xperia 1 III, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Huawei P40 Lite, resigning a couple features and specifications.
