Comparison review

Xperia 5 II has a general score of 87.2, which is a bit better than Huawei P40 Lite's 79.5 score. Although Xperia 5 II and the Huawei P40 Lite were released only a couple months apart, Xperia 5 II is somewhat lighter and a bit thinner. Xperia 5 II has just a bit better looking display than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little higher screen density and a slightly higher 1080 x 2520 resolution.

The Sony Xperia 5 II has a much better storage for applications and games than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 1000 GB. Sony Xperia 5 II counts with a little bit better performance than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

Huawei P40 Lite features just a bit better battery performance than Xperia 5 II, because it has a 5 percent bigger battery capacity. Huawei P40 Lite captures clearer videos and photos than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has slower video frame rates, a tinier aperture which is not nice for capturing photos or video in low light situations and a tinier back camera sensor capturing lower quality photographs, and they both have the same 1920x1080 video resolution, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a camera in the back with a lot higher 48 megapixels resolution.

Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P40 Lite. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Huawei P40 Lite, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
