Sony Xperia 5 III is better than the Huawei P40 Lite, with a 90.5 score against 79.5. Both phones in this comparison review come with Android operating system, but Sony Xperia 5 III has a newer 11 version and Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10, providing the user a couple nice extra features. The Sony Xperia 5 III is a newer cellphone, and it is also just a little bit thinner and just a little bit lighter than the Huawei P40 Lite.
The Xperia 5 III has a little bit better processing power than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia 5 III also has a larger amount of RAM. Xperia 5 III features a bit more vivid screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little better pixel density and a quite better 1080 x 2520 pixels resolution.
