Comparison review
The Huawei P40 Pro is slightly better than Asus ZenFone 7, getting a global score of 88.2 against 83.9. The Huawei P40 Pro construction is just a little thinner and a little bit lighter than Asus ZenFone 7, although they were only released with a couple of months difference. These devices include Android OS, but Huawei P40 Pro has the older 10 version and Asus ZenFone 7 has Android 11.
The Huawei P40 Pro and the Asus ZenFone 7 feature very similar CPUs, and although the Asus ZenFone 7 has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Asus ZenFone 7 has a little more vivid display than Huawei P40 Pro, because although it has a just a bit worse pixels quantity per screen inch and a little bit lower 1080 x 2400 resolution, it also counts with a bit larger display.
The Asus ZenFone 7 features a much greater storage capacity for applications and games than Huawei P40 Pro, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Asus ZenFone 7 also has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB. Huawei P40 Pro features just a bit better camera than Asus ZenFone 7, because although it has a way lower (4K) video quality, a much worse resolution back facing camera and a tinier camera aperture which is not good for low light photos and videos, it also counts with a lot bigger back camera sensor taking lot higher quality pictures.
Asus ZenFone 7 counts with superior battery lifetime than Huawei P40 Pro, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 4200mAh.
