Comparison review
Huawei P40 Pro has a global score of 88.2, which is much better than the Huawei Mate 10's 78.9 general score. Both phones in this comparison review work with the same Android 10 operating system, so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding that. Although the Huawei P40 Pro is way newer than the Huawei Mate 10, it's somewhat heavier and a little bit thicker.
The Huawei P40 Pro features a little faster processing unit than Huawei Mate 10, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Huawei P40 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Huawei Mate 10 has a bit better looking screen than Huawei P40 Pro, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a quite higher screen pixel density and a slightly better 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution.
The Huawei P40 Pro shoots much better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 10, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for capturing photographs in low light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Huawei P40 Pro also counts with a much more mega-pixels back-facing camera, a way bigger back-facing camera sensor taking much better quality videos and photos and higher video frame rate.
The Huawei Mate 10 counts with a bit bigger memory for apps and games than Huawei P40 Pro, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 256 GB. Huawei P40 Pro has a bit longer battery life than Huawei Mate 10, because it has a 4200mAh battery size.
