Huawei P40 Pro is better than the Huawei Mate 8, having an 88.2 score against 77.4. The Huawei P40 Pro is a a lot newer phone than the Huawei Mate 8, but it's somewhat thicker and somewhat heavier. Huawei P40 Pro counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei P40 Pro also has 4 GB more RAM.
Huawei P40 Pro counts with a bit better looking screen than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a better resolution of 1200 x 2640px, a quite higher display density and a little bigger screen. The Huawei P40 Pro has a greater camera than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a bigger aperture for better low-light photography and videos, a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back and a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
The Huawei Mate 8 features a superior memory to store more apps and games than Huawei P40 Pro, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage, the Huawei Mate 8 also has an external SD slot that holds up to 128 GB.
