Comparison review
Huawei P40 Pro is better than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, getting a overall score of 88.2 against 78.7. Both of these devices include Android OS, but the Huawei P40 Pro has older 10 version and Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version. The Huawei P40 Pro body is newer, but somewhat thicker and heavier than Huawei Mate 9 Pro.
The Huawei P40 Pro has a bit faster processing unit than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei P40 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little bit better looking screen than Huawei P40 Pro, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit greater display density and a little higher 1440 x 2560px resolution.
The Huawei P40 Pro shoots a lot better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same video quality, the Huawei P40 Pro also has a much more mega-pixels back camera, a way larger sensor shooting lot better quality videos and photographs, a bigger aperture and better video frame rates.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro's memory capacity for apps and games is just as good as the Huawei P40 Pro one, they have exactly the same internal memory. Huawei P40 Pro counts with just a bit longer battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a 5% bigger battery size.
