The Huawei P40 Pro is better than Huawei P30 Lite, with a general score of 88.2 against 77. Even though the Huawei P40 Pro is newer than Huawei P30 Lite, it's somewhat thicker and extremely heavier. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but the Huawei P40 Pro has the older 10 version while Huawei P30 Lite has Android 9.0 Pie.
Huawei P40 Pro features a bit better processor than Huawei P30 Lite, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei P40 Pro also has more RAM memory. The Huawei P40 Pro counts with a little bit better looking screen than Huawei P30 Lite, because it has a little larger screen, a bit higher resolution of 1200 x 2640 pixels and a little better pixel density.

Huawei P40 Pro has superior battery lifetime than Huawei P30 Lite, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity.
The Huawei P40 Pro features a way better camera than Huawei P30 Lite, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for low-light photos and videos, it also counts with a much higher (4K) video resolution, a lot better 50 MP resolution back-facing camera and a way larger back camera sensor.
