Huawei P40 Pro has an overall score of 88.2, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S8's score of 81.7. Even though the Huawei P40 Pro is way newer than the Samsung Galaxy S8, it is thicker and way heavier. Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with a bit better screen than Huawei P40 Pro, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher count of pixels per display inch and a slightly higher resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels.
The Huawei P40 Pro features a bit faster processor than Galaxy S8, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Huawei P40 Pro also has more RAM memory. The Galaxy S8 has just a bit bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei P40 Pro, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB.
The Huawei P40 Pro shoots a lot better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Huawei P40 Pro also counts with a lot more MP camera in the back, faster 60 frames per second video frame rate and a much larger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
The Huawei P40 Pro has a way better battery lifetime than Galaxy S8, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity.
