Huawei P40 is a little bit better than the Google Pixel 4a, getting a general score of 86.4 against 82.9. Both devices in our current comparison use Android OS, but Huawei P40 has older 10 version while Google Pixel 4a has Android 11. Huawei P40's body is just a bit thicker and somewhat heavier than the Google Pixel 4a.
The Huawei P40 counts with just a little better processing power than Google Pixel 4a. Both of them have 6 GB of RAM and a Octa-Core processing unit. Google Pixel 4a counts with a screen that's just as good as the Huawei P40 one, because although the Google Pixel 4a has a quite smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1080 x 2340 resolution, it also counts with a quite greater number of pixels per screen inch.
Huawei P40 takes much better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 4a, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for low light photography, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Huawei P40 also counts with a way better resolution back-facing camera, a lot larger sensor providing a much higher image quality and better video frame rate.
The Google Pixel 4a and Huawei P40 count with similar memory for games and applications, both of them have exactly the same internal storage. Huawei P40 counts with greater battery performance than Google Pixel 4a, because it has a 21% bigger battery capacity.
Even being the best phone in this comparison, the Huawei P40 is also by far the cheapest one, making it a great choice.
